Biography
Wild Rain was founded by veteran musician J. Quigley in August 2024 to create a high-energy cover band that boasts a diverse repertoire of danceable songs across multiple decades and genres. The band's selection spans from the 1970s to the present, incorporating a wide range of musical styles, including Pop, Rock, Disco, Alternative, and a touch of R&B, Rap, and line-dance country. This eclectic mix ensures that there’s something for everyone to enjoy on the dance floor.
The members of Wild Rain are all professional-caliber musicians with extensive live performance experience. The band operates as a five-piece ensemble, delivering live music without any backing tracks, providing an authentic sound that stays true to the original recordings. With four lead singers who harmonize beautifully and the dynamic frontwoman Misha Peony at the helm, Wild Rain promises an exciting and engaging performance for all audiences.

Misha Peony - Lead Vocals
This little gypsy has a story that reads like an adventurous fairy tale! Born into the bright but tumultuous world of occupied Bohemia, her early years were anything but ordinary. With a politically charged father leading the increasingly popular band Emise, Misha and her family found themselves on the run, escaping from the clutches of communist oppression.
Can you imagine? With only the clothes on their backs and a bit of cash salvaged from wedding rings, Misha's parents rallied their little tribe and embarked on a grand quest for freedom! Their two-year escapade was nothing short of epic: hopping on trains, traversing through Hungary, Italy, France, and Germany, and navigating various immigration camps along the way. Picture this wild bunch, bolting across the Monte Carlo border, dodging border interrogations like seasoned pros, all in a bid to claim a brighter future.
Misha’s father had a dream—more than just music; it was about giving his daughters the freedom to express themselves boldly and fearlessly on any stage. Today, Misha is lovingly carrying that torch, dedicated to turning her father's dreams into reality while embracing her remarkable journey. Her story is a vibrant testament to resilience, adventure, and the joyous pursuit of dreams in the land of opportunity!
DAVID “DJ” JAMES - Keys/Guitar/Vocals
David grew up a Jersey boy and has been entertaining audiences since age 12 with a band consisting of just trumpet and drums. He played in rock bands all though high school and college. After moving to the West Coast, he toured with his Show Band all over the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Hawaii. He is now living in Las Vegas and is excited to be part of Wild Rain! In addition to live performance, DJ composes and produces music in his project studio. His influences are varied and include Bruno Mars, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Don Henley, Pink, Eagles, Beatles, Tom Waits, Randy Newman.
Gary Caldwell - Drums/Percussion
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. He began drumming at the age of eleven and was a member of the Concord Blue Devils marching drum line for six years. During his last two years with the group, he competed in their world class Drum and Bugle Corps and won a Drum Corp International World Championship.
Gary played in various rock cover bands and in 2015, he joined the band of solo recording artist Jackson Rohm. He played local Bay Area venues, festivals, charity events, and recorded new music with the band. In 2017, Gary moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he met singer/songwriter Tom Galgano. Together, they founded the rock band "Swimming Naked" and released their debut EP "Songs for the Socially Distant" in August 2020.
Christian Woods - Bass/Vocals
A.K.A. Maverick James! This guy’s got the looks of Tom Cruise and the vocal flair of Rick James—all wrapped up in one incredible package. Hailing from the stunning shores of Anchorage, Alaska, this super thumper absolutely knows how to hold down the bottom end while "rapping to the beat"! Growing up in a family of musicians, Maverick has been performing for as long as he can remember. He was formerly part of Anchorage's hottest cover band, "I Like Robots," where he honed his skills and got the crowd moving. But in 2021, he made the bold move to Vegas, ready to dive headfirst into a full-time music career. Get ready, world—Maverick James is here to bring the party!
J. Quigley - Guitar/Vocals
Philadelphia transplant and band leader, J has been a staple in the Las Vegas music scene since early 2000's. He's performed in some of Vegas' top cover and tribute bands on many of the top tiered stages such as, Fremont Street, The House Of Blues, The Joint, and Vamp'd, as well as The Aquarius in Laughlin, to name a few. From The Bee Gee's to Alice In Chains, J's musical versatility allows him to drive a band in darn near any musical direction to satisfy a client's needs.
